Call for Abstracts


ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS

Invitation to Present

The AIMS NZIMLS South Pacific Congress (SPC) 2011 Committee invites you to submit abstracts for consideration in the AIMS NZIMLS SPC Congress program. Lodgement of an abstract does not mean automatic inclusion in the Congress program.

Presenters will be advised by 29 April 2011 if their submission(s) have been accepted. Please only submit abstracts for presentations you are willing to commit to presenting as the Congress Committee will be using these abstracts to organise sessions.   

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION PROCEDURE 

Authors will need to set up a profile in the online Speaker Zone. Once you have set up your profile, you will receive an email which contains your Access Key. By using your personal Access Key, you can log into the Speaker Zone. In the Speaker Zone, you will be able to: 

  • Submit your abstract(s)Provide details of theme, co-authors and the presenting author biography
  • View your abstract to ensure the abstract(s) have been received correctly
  • Add additional abstracts, if required
  • Register for the Congress once registration is available

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

Abstracts must be submitted in English with a maximum word count of 250.

A 100 word biography about the presenting Author is also required.

Selection Criteria

  • Relevance to Congress theme(s)
  • Originality and interest
  • Structure and clarity
  • Scientific validity
  • Potential significance

Final assignment of presentations will be at the discretion of the Congress Committee. 

KEY TIME FRAMES 

  • Deadline for submission of abstracts - 1 April 2011
  • Notification to Authors, including accepted and rejected abstracts - 29 April 2011
  • Program released - 27 May 2011
  • Early bird registration date closes - 10 June 2011

Presenters of accepted abstracts and posters will need to register for the Congress, including payment of registration fees. Registration information will be released shortly.

Authors will be advised whether their abstracts have been accepted in late April 2011.

Successful submissions will be published in the Conference Handbook and in the Australian Journal of Medical Science.
