180˚ Struggling Colony to Booming Economy

In 2009 Western Australian turns 180! The 52nd Annual IQA Conference will reflect upon how far the quarrying industry has come over this time, both in Western Australia and nationally.

The aim of the Conference is to highlight and inform Delegates about the issues that are affecting the industry both in WA, where the boom is straining plant, labour and capital resources, and nationally, where the two paced economy and increased regulations are placing added stress. A diverse list of speakers is planned to present and explain the issues in an manner to ensure Delegates come away better informed.

The Conference will be staged at the Burswood Casino Complex which has recently undergone refurbishment to become arguably the best conference facility in Australia with accommodation, conference rooms, ball rooms and entertainment all located virtually under the one roof.

An exciting social programme, highlighting the links with the past and building on the 180 theme, is also being planned and we look forward to welcoming you to Perth in 2009.
