MONDAY NIGHT SOCIAL ACTIVITIES - HOSTED DINNERS
Here is your chance to visit the beautiful and iconic seaside suburb of Glenelg, enjoy a beautiful balmy Adelaide evening and sample the great South Australian food and wine that you have only heard about until now.
Whether you fancy fish and chips on the beach, a Mediterranean feast or a great steak, Glenelg has a restaurant or café for you. Take a short walk down the Rundle Mall to the tram stop and take the famous Adelaide tram from the city to Glenelg at 6pm. You will have the option of joining a dinner hosted by Careers Service staff from the South Australian Universities or enjoy free time to take a leisurely walk along the jetty, find a souvenir or two and stroll around Holdfast Promenade where you may spot a celebrity or two! If you can fit in a dessert after dinner, every ice cream flavour imaginable is available, so you might not be able to stop at just one!
We will meet up again at 9:30pm to take the return tram trip back to the city or you may prefer to stay and sample a taste of the Glenelg night life!
You will find a comprehensive list of restaurants at http://glenelgsa.com.au/restaurants. Casual dress will suffice for most beachside restaurants but it is best to avoid thongs, singlets and track pants.
Final numbers for the Glenelg trip will be arranged on the first day of the conference.
